Tradespeople Digital was born from genuine conversations with tradesmen and women during a personal renovation project.
Every tradesperson I spoke to during that dust-filled few months had a story to tell about their digital marketing experiences. Some had been straight-up ripped off, while others were underwhelmed with the performance of other digital marketing agencies. Unsurprisingly, many had given up on online marketing altogether. For someone who is passionate about getting businesses results online, this was depressing to listen to.
With all these tales of woe ringing in my ears, I knew there was a market for an honest, trustworthy, and transparent digital marketing agency for tradespeople.
So, I started one.
Before launching Tradespeople Digital, I had over 15 years experience in online marketing, working on projects for huge names such as Stanley Black & Decker, Tata Steel, Nationwide, Volkswagen, and Range Rover, to name but a few.
Although prestigious, such household brands are ultimately faceless entities. Helping them stack another million or two on the right side of their balance sheet was personally unrewarding. It didn’t feel as though I was making a difference. More like jumping on a hamster wheel and going nowhere fast.
Starting Tradespeople Digital changed all that in a heartbeat.
Now I get to work directly with the people who benefit from my team’s digital marketing expertise. I get to see trade businesses move on from the one-man-band startup phase to taking on their first employee. I witness the impact business growth has on the owner’s families. I experience the happiness success brings them.
Most importantly of all, I get to build relationships with ambitious, like-minded people, and I love every minute of it.
